Former Boise State cornerback Brandyn Thompson has been waived by the Washington Redskins, he said Tuesday. The rookie was released to make room for the return of suspended cornerback Phillip Buchanon.
If Thompson clears waivers, the Redskins indicated they will sign him to the practice squad, Thompson said.
Thompson played in three of the Redskins' four games.
"I think I did a good job," he said. "The coaches all had good things to say about me. They all said they wanted me back. From here on, it's all about keep getting better."
