Michael Jackson is dead, but he keeps on rocking. The King of Pop is getting the Cirque du Soleil treatment in what promises to be a true extravaganza.
The wildly creative human powered circus company Cirque du Soleil will bring its “Michael Jackson: The Immortal Tour,” to Boise’s Taco Bell Arena, 8 p.m. Jan. 3.
Cirque brought its "Alegria" to Boise in November for a successful four day run.
This show is being written and directed by Jamie King, one of Jackson’s former dancers and Madonna’s creative director, with the support of the Jackson estate. King has created touring shows for Jennifer Lopez, Diana Ross, Rihanna, Celine Dion and many others. Cirque’s Chantal Tremblay and Mark Fisher and the rest of the creative team will put Cirque’s acrobatic spin on things.
