Broadway musical 'Wicked' is selling fast

Tickets for “Wicked,” the story of Oz before Dorothy musical, went on sale at 10 a.m. March 4 and by early afternoon several performances were sold out. This is the first national touring company of one of the most popular Broadway musicals in history. It's the first time since "The Producers" in 2004 that a first national tour has hit Boise.

"Wicked" runs May 4 through 15 at the Morrison Center, 2201 Cesar Chavez Lane, Boise. Tickets are $50-$140 at at Select-a-Seat.

Shows are at 7:30 p.m. May 4; 2 and 7:30 p.m. May 5; 8 p.m. May 6; 2 and 8 p.m. May 7; 1 and 6:30 p.m. May 8; 7:30 p.m. May 10-12; 8 p.m. May 13; 2 and 8 p.m. May 14; and 1 and 6:30 p.m. May 15.

This is updated as of March 10. The sold out shows are changing daily as season ticket holders move their tickets around, says Scott Bodmer, marketing director for the Morrison Center.

The sold out shows are 2 p.m. May 7 and 14. 6:30 p.m. May 8, 1 p.m. May 15.

Most other shows have limited seating available. Your best chance for two seats together are 7:30 p.m. May 4 and 2 p.m. May 5.
