GIRLS BASKETBALL

Randi McReynolds, Bishop Kelly: The Knights (12-6, 10-2 4A SIC) clamped down on second place in the 4A Southern Idaho Conference standings with two wins last week, including one against third-place Emmett (9-6, 8-4) on Jan. 21. In that 48-44 victory, McReynolds scored a game-high 18 points and pulled down a game-high 11 rebounds to lead the way. In a 48-13 win against Columbia on Jan. 22, she scored six points. The Knights finish the regular season with two games this week — vs. Middleton (16-2, 12-0) at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday and at Skyview (9-9, 5-7) at 7:30 p.m. Thursday.

BOYS BASKETBALL

Austin Winegar, Weiser: The Wolverines (12-3, 4-0 3A SRV) lead the 3A Snake River Valley after two wins last week — the first against reigning champion Fruitland. Winegar scored a game-high 28 points in a 60-59 overtime win against the Grizzlies on Jan. 20, and returned to the floor with 12 points, five rebounds and seven assists in a 56-35 win against Payette on Jan. 22.

WRESTLING

Columbia team: The reigning 4A state champions won the Tiger-Grizz Invitational on Saturday in at Skyline High in Idaho Falls. Jackson Blakley (103) and Tre Jarboe (152) led the way with individual crowns. Austin Powell (135), Jesus Dozal (140) and Adrian Dickinson (189) posted runner-up finishes.
