Here are the details for this very important annual walk — now in its third year in Boise:

The society, a lay Catholic organization provides a range of services for people in need of all faiths and backgrounds. Dollars raised during the walk may be used for home visits, burial feeds, medical expenses, youth programs, emergency shelter and much more. One hundred percent of proceeds will go to programs. None will go to administrative costs, say organizers.
Last year the walk, which happens in states across the country, raised more than $1.2 million in 158 cities.
