KTVB general manager Doug Armstrong confirmed to the Statesman that the station will air four Boise State football games locally — at New Mexico State (Oct. 2), vs. Toledo (Oct. 9), at San Jose State (Oct. 16) and vs. Hawaii (Nov. 6).
That leaves Utah State (Dec. 4) as a potential ESPN family of networks telecast.
Learfield and KTVB have not made an announcement about the broadcasters for those games. Armstrong said KTVB will broadcast a pre-game show before each of the Broncos' 12 games.

The new ESPN blogger for non aq's is very sharp. She said Bronco fans are expecting big things from newcomer Jeremy Ioane. Shes professional and respectful, and knows her stuff, unlike Graham Watson, who still thinks Orlando Scandrick plays Cornerback for the Broncos. Glad shes gone.
On another note, IF Tom Scott and Mark Johnson broadcast games, will we have Matt Kaiserman or Shea McClellin playing Running Back?

CBSCS is 613, the MTN is 615 on Direct TV. 208 is ESPNU and it's starting to show quite a few older college games, 09 included. I'm trying to get the female ready for the season but still hear a lotta groaning: such as, "This is 2 years ago, you think the scores gonna change", "Oh for Chr---s sake, football again?" etc. It's a daunting case to keep her at bay but I'm up to it.

I hear your pain on that one, loud and clear. Go thru it at my house, too. Just go to my Man Cave woodshop where I got a flat panel TV on the wall, a barkalounger, a refrigerator stocked with Manly Vandal Beer, and a door that locks from the inside.
Tater2 told me the other day he has solved the same problem at his house. Apparently, he was reading a book on Sharia Law. It's okay under that law for a man to take some pliers and pull a female's tongue out and snip it off with some snipprs - if - she is causing interruptions to the man's pleasures. Tater2 did it one time. His wife came home and was baffled why there was a dead sheep in the bedroom.
Remove the Manly Vandal cleats and go to the MV beverage store.

KTVB broadcast
This is a crying shame, we should be able to get some better coverage locally! Unfortunately, lately, both the TV and radio coverage of BSU locally, SUCKS!
Stop Crying
Only 4 out of 13 (including bowl game) are broadcast locally. 10 Years ago BSU didn't even have 4 Nationally televised games. Channel 7 does a good job, even if their quality sucks. I'm thankful for Channel 7 and people like Brian Murphy for bringing us all the Bronco news. And CBS college sports is run by CBS.. it's just an off shoot. BSU played southern miss on CBSCS a few years ago and I remember cable one put it on channel 17 or something like that.. But get used to it the MWC TV schedule is all on CBSCS or Versus.
The facts.
You hit it on the head. Without question, it's difficult to watch the local TV broadcast. For me, I choose to watch the games on my 36" and 10 year old TV because it just looks better than the big screen. But, I'm grateful that KTVB broadcasts the games, and I think they do a pretty good job with play by play. I do go back and forth from the local radio audio broadcast to the actual KTVB audio feed. Even with delay.
Are you guys telling me..
you're NOT looking forward to Mark Johnson butchering the names, and blowing the calls? I can't wait.
Wait until next year
Next year, KTVB and ESPN will not be able to carry any home games or any Mountain West Conference games. The mountain channel will not have any BSU focused announcers...should be fun

Just because BSU moves to the MWC does not mean the U/I couldn't attract a draw for KTVB. They need to pick up Vandal games and it shouldn't be hard to attract local viewers after what Kustra did to BSU's local reputation.

Like I have said from day one, Kustra's outburst will have a deep impact. He has embarrased most of bronco nation and many Idaho sports supporters. I can see KTVB giving this a go, just to test the ratings. If you and your gang can't acknowledge this, then you are all more delusional than ever.

I played 27 holes at Falcon
on Saturday before they held their Club Championship. Didnt play so well for some reason. That Freedom course is something else. Played Hunters Pointe on Friday and shot an 81. Had no birdies all day. The greens are so slow and grainy. Usually on that course you have to play Euro golf and hit it 50 yards in front of the green just to get it on.
What have you played lately?
I played a TRUE practice round.
I skied from mid 80's to a 97 last week. Can't tell you why. Haven't done that in years. So I went to Putple sage. Took the wife and teen. Left my driver home. Played at NOON and the pro said it was 97 in the shade lol. We walked so I hit 2-3 balls every hole. Teed 3 woods, worked on long irons a lot. The last 5 or 6 holes I was striking the ball well so I am anxious to get out and play a real round. I think my plane and rotation got all wacked out.
It happens
Golf is so fickle. I love it some days others I wish I could just give my clubs away. Especially when its $75 a round to play! What is Purple Sage charging these days?
