Former Sen. Darrel Deide, a leader in the education choice movement, says his group has endorsed state Rep. Raul Labrador in the 1st District GOP race for Congress.
Deide, a former state senator from Caldwell and retired Caldwell school superintendent, chairs Idahoans for Choice in Education, a political action committee that advocates allowing parents to choose among public, public charter, private and home schools.
In a blog post titled, “Labrador or Ward?” Deide writes that Labrador’s service in the Legislature gives him the nod over Vaughn Ward.
“Labrador has a record in the Idaho Legislature that shows his support for ‘Education Choice.’ Ward has no record. For years, too many politicians have spoken warmly of the need for choice in education without voting for choice in education. We’re hopeful that’s not the case with Ward. But the fact that Labrador, through his voting record, already has proven his commitment to education choice, gives him an edge over Ward.”

Good Choice
That's a great choice. I don't think that Ward is conservative enough anyways.
Usual Popkey drivel!
Same song, second verse! At least he must have given up on Larry Craig obsession! Oops, sorry I brought it up Danno!
So you recognize consistentcy in his work?

But...but...
Ward is the "conservative, pro-life, Republican candidate"....and if I hear it one more time on the tube, I may wretch. It won't matter because Minnick will win.
Embarrassing...
Did Labrador ever explain why he shot down the "texting while driving" bill? If that decision is an example of conservative intelligence, then we need to keep them as far away from politics as possible.
Was he the ONLY one? All by himself? Really? WOW

From 3-30-10
"Then Eagle Republican Rep. Raul Labrador, a foe of the bill, demanded a procedural vote that failed to get the required two-thirds House majority.
The vote marked a climactic end to a feisty back-and-forth between the Senate and House over the limits of punishing people who text behind the wheel. The House last week passed its own measure that would have given errant drivers an infraction punishable by a $50 fine.

Yes, FO. He did this. Moronic.
Oh golly. He didn't make the votes. See the wiz.
You seem to carry the logic forward that since Hitler was the leader of Germany then he was the only evil in Germany.
I don't mind being challenged but I ask for some reasoning and forethought before you just shout somebody is a fink.
Thank you for posting.

Yes, I did.
Labrador is responsible for killing the texting while driving bill.
By that action, he is a complete and absolute moron.
It's really as simple as that.
By juxtaposition you must be also. And a minor.
We get enough junior high kids in here...right or wrong you're being an Orange Pekoe with 7UP on the side. If you believe the only thing that WILL stop the problem is that vote, boy I feel so bad that Oprah is a failure.
COME ON! This is what's eating me. Go scream at your bathroom mirror if it helps.

Deide and his ilk
just want to draw off the cream of the crop while leaving behind the special needs, learning impaired, and low income students. His plan will raise costs not just by leaving these students behind but by creating lots of new schools with separate and duplicate administrative positions.
Amero. I don't think
Amero. I don't think Labrador is a "moron". Maybe that bill didn't pass because the legislators knew that texting while driving was already illegal in the state of Idaho. It is called inattentive driving. Texting while driving has been illegal for as long as texting has been around.
