'Save the Boobs' on First Thursday, and more

"Save the Boobs" tonight with Idaho Indie Works and Think Pink Boise

Shop for handmade for Mother's Day gifts and support a local non-profit at the same time. Thursday evening, artisans from Idaho Indie Works join forces with the ladies from Think Pink Boise who will be selling their popular "Save the Boobs" t-shirts and onsies to raise money for breast cancer prevention at the Old Pioneer Tent building in Old Boise.

Think Pink, Inc. was founded in 2004 as a non-profit organization that raises money through t-shirt sales and local events to benefit breast cancer research and education. All of the net proceeds are donated to the local affiliate of Susan G. Komen for the Cure.

To date, Think Pink, Inc. has raised over $50,400.

Crissie McDowell, one of the founders of Think Pink, Inc. and a member of Idaho Indie Works says "It just made sense to participate in First Thursday with the group (Idaho Indie Works). With Boise's Race for the Cure coming up on Saturday (May 8th), and Mother's Day being the day after it seemed like the perfect time."

And keeping with the gift idea...

Local company Morningside is partnering with the local Susan G. Komen affiliate. Ten percent of Mother's Day gift basket sales (and they're nice...pomegranate hand soal, lotion, chocolate and a water bottle) will benefit Komen breast cancer research efforts.

Order your baskets online and pick up your items at the plant in Garden City to avoid freight charges, or find baskets over the weekend at Epitome, Shoe Fetish and Cricket in Boise.
