UPDATED: Fox 12 news anchor Tami Tremblay exits; Shannon Paterson returns
KTRV Fox 12 main news anchor Tami Tremblay is no longer with the station. Her final appearance on “Fox 12 News at Nine” was Jan. 28, according to KTRV. It isn’t clear why Tremblay is gone; the station’s policy is to not discuss details of personnel matters.
Former anchor turned mom Shannon Paterson returns to “Fox 12 News at Nine” temporarily tonight. Paterson will help out during February sweeps but only plans to be with the station for about a month. Get Paterson's take on going back to work — and maternity clothes — on her AnchorMommy blog.
Fox 12 has posted an opening at news anchor among the job listings on its Web site. This person would take on a co-anchor role with new hire Adam Bartelmay, who is slated to start at KTRV the first week of March.

Thanks for actually mentioning this. No one seems to talk about it when anchors change/leave. I hate turning on the tv and seeing new faces and not knowing why. Maybe I'm nosy or maybe it's because I like to trust the people that deliver my news.

She's attractive enough to move beyond a "C" level media market like Boise. Phoenix maybe, or Vegas, or Seattle among the western markets. She'll move up.

it's too bad that looks are all that matter in jumping up markets these days. no wonder local newscasts have to resort to craziness and terrible promotions to get people to watch instead of actual news quality.
Cutting screen size down
What's with some of the local stations trimming local news casts screen size down, especially ch. 6? I didn't buy a bigger flat screen HD, just to get a smaller fuzzy picture! Don't watch KIVI anymore...hear that sponsors?
Adjust your TV
I think you need to figure out the aspect ratio and zoom settings on your TV. There is no way to put a 4:3 image in a 6:9 space (and vice versa) without bars or distorting the picture.
I don't think channel 6 news is in High Def yet, thus the smaller screen, but they use the left and right sidebars to promote their station.
16:9 and it's called anamorphic something.
Nearly all the local stations, even IPTV tend to look fine when I set the box to look like 4:3 and don't you think the graphics people were aware of this (especially the package BELO uses)?

All I will say is that there was a difference of opinion in promotions for the station and I believe that is why I ended up getting let go. I was not told much, but can also not discuss the details. I'm guessing that "laid off"
I'm guessing that "laid off" includes some sort of a severance. That gives the employer some leverage to convince the soon to be ex-employee to sign an agreement to not talk about their soon to be former employer. Some other people in the valley might possibly have some insight into that phenomenon, if they used to work for a large manufacturing company in the valley. Not that they would admit that they had to sign something like that, because then they would forfeit their severance. You know, if they got one.

I was surprised to see Shannon Paterson on TV again. Too bad it's not permanent, but family should come first.

Yes, Crosby returned to Channel 2 as chief meteorologist late last year, where he'd worked previously before KTRV Fox 12.
