2009-10 Treasure Valley athlete signings & commitments (Feb. 3)

These Treasure Valley athletes have either signed or have announced their intention to sign letters of intent with college programs. Wednesday, Feb. 3 was the initial signing day for football, soccer, track and field and cross country. The information was provided to the Statesman by high school coaches and administrators or by club team officials. College commitments and signings can be sent to jzentz@idahostatesman.com.

Interesting to note the number of soccer signings as compared to other high school sports.

Signings

Very true. The number of soccer players moving on to play college is always impressive. The local clubs play a huge part in the player development, and they're a big reason why the high school state soccer tournament is always highly competitive and loaded with local champions. Congrats to all the athletes who will get the opportunity to keep compete and study at the collegiate level — big or small. It's something worth celebrating.

come on kudos to every kid for getting a chance to go to school and play their sport and hopefully have some of their school paid for, who cares what school it is a free or partially free education is great no matter what. way to go all of you and congrats.
