A snowshoeing clinic for women is planned at 7 p.m. Nov. 25 at REI in Boise.

Expert snowshoer Edna Ray Vizgirdas will talk about the sport, offering tips on winter backcountry travel, how to dress for snowshoeing and where to go during the clinic that is free.

REI is located at 8300 W. Emerald St.

- Backcountry ski guides from McCall to Sun Valley will be at Idaho Mountain Touring from 5 to 7:30 p.m. Nov. 19 to provide information about trekking this winter.

Representatives from Soldier Mountain SnowCat Tours, Sun Valley Heli Guides, Sawtooth Mountain Guides, Payette Powder Guides and Sun Valley Trekking will be at the outdoors shop at 1310 W. Main St.

- Craving snow? Warren Miller's movie "Dynasty" premiers at 8 p.m. Nov. 19 at the Egyptian Theatre. Admission is $15.

Other shows are Nov. 20 and 21 at 6 p.m. ($13) and 8 p.m. ($15).

The movie marks Miller's 60th anniversary of doing ski films. It takes you on a tour of Alaska, Norway, China, British Columbia and other places and offers a look at historic clips from Miller's other films.

The movie is fundraising event by the Bogus Basin Ski Club.
