• Boise State quarterback Kellen Moore was profiled in the New York Times this morning. Hard-core Boise State fans won't find too much new information in the piece, but there are a few interesting details, such as Moore's friendship with Houston quarterback Case Keenum.
Still it's nice to see Moore, who has entered the Heisman conversation, and Boise State's undefeated team get some national attention.

BSU vs LA Tech-No willinness to pound LA Tech
BSU needs to go for those first downs. COme on, a number 7 rated team can't get 1 or 2 yards against a lower tier team? It shows no confidence in your defense. The halftime score should be 34 or 41 to 7. This doesn't help with the votes. Boise, bury these guys and learn to handing off dep in the backfield when you only need 1 or 2 yards.

Coaches need to run quick handoffs when they need only 1 or 2 yards for a first down. Don't have Moore step back 4 yards with his hand out to give the ball to his backs and expect them to get any yards. Alabama would not kick if they only had 1 or 2 yards to go for a first down. Even if they didn't make it, they have faith in their defense.

I can't see the Broncos winning a BCS game with this running game. Maybe I am use to Ian but this cannot be good. Is it a lack of blocking or just a lack of a RB talented enough to take over?
There goes the BCS Game
Even if Boise comes back with 3 touchdowns, they will lose some spots in the BCS Polls Sunday after letting LA Tech get this close. They should have put up the points and been more agressive in the first half. There will be a few teams who will jump over Boise, the ones with one loss.

As a true fan, Just enjoy the victory
Better than a loss, and TCU needs to lose anyway. We won a good game on the road where we dominated for 3 quarters. We have 4 scholarship seniors. The critics will always hate boise state. This season is much more impressive then the 2006 Fiesta Bowl season, we just happen to have TCU ahead of us. With one TCU loss, we're in. Iowa should have lost to Northern Iowa and Arkansas State. As bad as our schedule is, our closest game is 7 on the road.

This is one game when alot of Eastern Voters will be able to watch what all the noise is about BSU. There is not much noise tonight and those Eastern Voters will not be impressed and there will be no top 10 votes coming Sunday Night. No "Killer Instinct" in the Coaching Staff.

Ghads, I was worried tonight! LaTech made a serious run, all night they kept coming back. BSU should have clobbered them, clobbered them early and clobbered them silly. Instead, it was a very competitive game. I enjoyed it, but it should not have been that close, not even.

These college games are fantastic. LA Tech was playing at home and got momentum but BSU still won. That said, we need to fix the running game.

How in the world can the Broncos expect to have any semblance of a running game if the offensive line changes from week to week? The coaching staff needs to decide on a starting 5, and - win or lose - STICK WITH THEM. Not doing so will continue to be disruptive to (a)the O-Linemen themselves and (b) the running backs trying to figure out the how/who/where/what of every running play. I love the Broncos, but these close calls with teams they should dominate are driving me nuts.

If margin of victory is the hot topic, its a good problem to have. Expectations are so high that you hear everyone complaining about how much the Broncos win by. That's much better than having two losses by now and hoping we can get into just any bowl game! I would like to see them get into a BCS bowl, just as much as anybody, but they gotta be undefeated first.

Memo
All I can figure is that BSU did not get the memo we had a game tonight. Congratulations on the win, but I was starting to wonder if our defense would be able to tackle a little old lady crossing the field. And why do we keep trying to run the ball up the middle, I doubt we pull that off 5% of the time. One good thing about this game, maybe the players will realize that every game can be a loss and show up for the rest of our games. From now on when we get a big lead, don’t let up and put the nail in the coffin.
Go BSU, but please show up for the rest of our games.
