Give some kibble: It's National Animal Shelter Appreciation Week

National Animal Shelter Appreciation Week: Nov 1-7

In 1996, The Humane Society of the United States launched National
Animal Shelter Appreciation Week to pay tribute to shelter and their volunteers — and educate the public about animal welfare in their own communities.

The Humane Society suggests making a donation to your local shelter (remembering the Idaho Humane Society, as well as shelters in Meridian and Canyon County, to name just a few of the local options).

Here are a few ways to help:

· Offer a donation of needed supplies (leashes, towels, animal food, bedding, etc.)
· Spread the word about the responsibility of spaying and neutering
· Volunteer at a shelter
· Report animal cruelty and neglect

Connect with the Idaho Humane Society online to learn more, and order your "Friends for Life" 2010 calendar featuring local pets. The calendar costs $12.95, with all proceeds benefitting animals at the shelter.

I appreciate shelters but not free-range pet owners

There is no life in Idaho...it is a mirror site on god's server. You were dreaming but it is over. Go to your residence and await our commands and THEN we will restore control...
