Remembrance planned for homeless man on Sunday
A year has passed since Boisean Terrance Fitzpatrick, who lived in local shelters, and on the streets, was found dead in a bale of paper from a local recycling center.
Investigators said Fitzpatrick, who had been drinking, was likely looking for a warm place to sleep. He climbed inside a recycling container, and was accidentally crushed.
Jane Freund, a member of the Capitol City Christian Church in Downtown Boise where Fitzpatrick was also a member, said many in the congregation still miss Fitzpatrick.
Though he lived an untraditional life, Fitzpatrick, who was 51 when he died, was close to many people at church. He frequently did volunteer work there, and participated in the church community, and recovery groups.
Congregants are holding a memorial for him, 2 p.m., on Sunday at the recycling center at Glenwood and Chinden in Boise. Everyone is invited to remember and celebrate Fitzpatrick’s life.

I remember him having friends who didn't really give him a home.
