Black Dog Sunday

Black dog lovers gathered at Mountain Cove Road dog park in Boise Sunday to celebrate black dogs with a walk. Coolio, a 3-year-old black Labrador-Rottweiler mix, has been at the Idaho Humane Society shelter for a long time waiting for adoption. Shelter officials say black dogs and cats are too often overlooked for adoption. Black dog owners and many of the black dogs from the shelter enjoyed a fine autumn day walk around the park in a show of solidarity and too perhaps draw a little attention.
