First quarter
The Broncos looked like they would punch in another score, but the a fumbled snap, a false start and a fumble when Kellen Moore got hit from behind ended the drive near the end of the first quarter.
No WR Titus Young or RB Doug Martin yet for the Broncos.
9:32 — Boise State 7, San Jose State 0: Kirby Moore 61 pass from Kellen Moore (Kyle Brotzman kick)
Key play: Kellen Moore's 14-yard pass to Austin Pettis on third-and-7 kept the drive alive. The Moore brothers connected on the next play for Kirby's first career touchdown.
Pre-Game
Boise State defensive tackle J.P. Nisby (knee) will miss several games after undergoing surgery this week. Nisby has 10 tackles, including 1.5 for loss in seven games this season.
In his absence, expect freshmen Michael Atkinson and Greg Grimes to see more playing time behind starter Chase Baker.

Any questions???
Any questions???
Yes, why are people excited
Yes, why are people excited about beating a team that has not won a division I game all year? In fact, SJSU is so bad that their only win is against a Division IAA team.
So?
USC played them too... So only when BSU plays them then all of the sudden BSU is weak for playing them??
Quite wasting your time on a
Quit wasting your time on a pathetic WAC game. Give us updates on the Florida vs Georgia game. It, contrary to this game, has two real teams playing and a nation who actually cares about the outcome!
I am sorry, I guess the 4,800 "fans" actually in the stadium care.
Go Away!
Change channel if you know how. The rest of us happen to be Bronco fans and do care. Obviously you can't count or have watched too many Vandal games. Go Broncos!
Vandals?
WOW, Vandals have nothing to do with this....but very intelligent statement. you ARE a bronco
Hey Jocitch,
You've got the internet. Look up that game if you're so interested. Or maybe you're just too lazy. BTW, most of the nation doesn't care about that game, only us football fans...Sunny...
If you are all such great
If you are all such great BSU fans then why are you not at the stadium?
You are the reason that BSU can't sell out a game without a few thousand fans driving in from Oregon to fill seats.
go away troll
why aren't you at the Florida game or something?
The "Boise economy" is
The "Boise economy" is keeping me from being a true fan.
Actually, unlike BSU home games, that game is actually sold out!
JocDoc
You never seem to disappoint us in showing us how big of a loser you are. There is never an article about BSU that you don't make some idiotic comment. What kind of pathetic life do you have that you need to read and comment on every article about a team you do not like? Even though this is none of your business I am watching the game at work today (a job is probably something else you don't have).
GO BSU!!!!
Why thank you for your
Why thank you for your concern. Kudos to you for standing on the assembly line today assembling your plasic cars. For me, I am quite gainfully employed, thank you.
Because many of the natinoal games aren't aired on TV here in Boise I prefer to stream most on the computer.
I grew up watching Big Ten and NFL football games each weekend, but thanks to the myopic sports community here in Boise I have very little to read about in the paper other than BSU football. Local sports radio? Same thing. You can't listen to IST without 95% of it being BSU football.
I give BSU credit for being a pretty good program, but they have a long way to go in terms of escalating to an "elite program" which many fans already think they are.
This is where many of us have a problem. BSU plays a cupcake schedule, but refuses to regularly travel to larger programs to play better competition. They whine about the big boys not coming to Boise becasue they are "scared" to play on the blue turf. They are scared.... of losing milliions in gait receipts by playing in small Bronco stadium. Herein lies another problem with BSU fans. They want to be an elite program, but they don't show the level of commitment to the team by selling out the stadium each week.
I see many of the BSU callers and posters as being sports hipocrites. They either think that they are already a big time program, or want to ascend to being a big time program, but aren't willing to do the things to gain that national status.
They think that beating the likes of UC Davis and SJSU each year will automatically get them annointed as football elitests. BSU fans complain about lack of national recognition and respect, but aren't willing to earn it by playing competition.
I would like to see if any team in modern history has ever won a national championship without selling out every one of its own home games?
There are many people that will pay thousands of dollars to watch a Florida regular season game and BSU can't even sell $30 tickets. That should tell the BSU fan something. Other local economies have been hit much harder than Boise's and those larger stadiums remain full so Boise's economy is not a valid excuse.
Boise
I'm so sorry you hate Boise so much and you feel you do not need to support your home team. But I'm sure I speak for most of the people in Boise that we would not mind seeing people like you leave our great city. Your comments also do not answer why you feel you need to put down your home team (Boise) every chance you get. Note: I run my own business and I'm very proud that I put in long (but enjoyable) hours in order to make my business successful.
thank god
haha. Im an atheist...anyways. Thank nature that next season is a little bit stronger schedule. Maybe I will be able to watch a whole game other than the first one of the season....Seriously, this season has been boring. Student/Resident/Life long Idahoan.
Fans blew it today!
Very disappointed in the BSU fans at the game, STAND AND CHEER PEOPLE! There was no electricity in that stadium and that carries over to the team. It could have been 70-0 but our 12th man couldn’t get off the bench.
To the guy who sat behind me and kept asking me to sit down on 3rd down defense? No, YOU SIT DOWN… AT HOME…This is division one football! You want to sit and watch a game? STAY HOME on your couch! MAKE SOME NOISE!
Standing Up
I had a lady behind me ask if I would sit down because everyone around us was sitting and my wife and I were the only ones standing. I told her that I informed the folks that were sitting behind us at the beginning of the game that I intended to stand for the entire game (they moved seats). She said I could go stand at the top of the SEZ with everyone else. I laughed and turned around and continued to stand and cheer. She moved seats (but she stood the entire 2nd half).
Some fans BSU has
Sure you guys are "fans" you don't even stand, you can't fill your stadium, and you don't have scrap for school pride. You sure love your broncos
When my brother had a grade school play...
the lady in front of us had nearly lethal limburger farts. My father demanded I remain where I was.
Maybe you'll meet her on a fully lethal day.

JocItch
You know exactly where you can go. It starts with an H and ends in an L. Your comments are completely without basis week end and week out. You CHOSE to live in the HEART of the WAC. If you don't like it move to Omaha, Jacksonville, or better yet the Bay Area.....LOSER.
BSU beats Oregon
USC beats Ohio State, Oregon beats USC. Nothing more need be said...
Well one more thing....
Oregon ahead of Boise in the BCS. And they did it the old fashioned way, they earned it.
Beats getting it free from Dad.

BCS
Hmm, last I looked Oregon is #10 and BSU #7 in the BCS ranking. (as of Sat night).
They earned it...
... by losing by 19-8, and only managing 150 yards of total offense? I see. Interesting definition of "earning it".
Correct.
Someday that will be a trivia question... and you'll know the answer.
ONE
Oregon will jump BSU in the BCS after thrashing USC tonight. That makes two wins over a current ranked top 10 team. The season is more than ONE game. Maybe Oregon should play the easy schedule and go 12 - 0. Could you imagine the scores playing UC Davis, Tulsa, and San Jose State. That would be the easy way. Then the season would not be as fun. You can take the win over Oregon and use it to define the season for BSU. Oregon has taken it up a couple of notches. BSU plays a pathetic schedule and I think it is an insult to have them where they are. Get real!!
Hey Duckhammer...
Are you carrying Mike Bellotti's hammer around? It's still working it's charm.
Ahem...
Ahem...I thought I was in charge of pointing out the obvious. lol BSU is the BCS welfare recipient of the decade--I hope they do, and they eventually will, get leapfrogged by several other teams. Oregon is obviously better than Boise State--that just rips them apart inside when we say that--mostly because, even having beaten them, they know it's true. For some reason when I imagine BS U's BCS chances I keep seeing that vision of Hout getting pummeled in front of thousands. lol
Hey...
Hey let's not beat up on that poor guy. Sorry Sigmund, I owe you one.
Happy for the duckies.......
The more they win, the better we look. As for the butt hurt duck fans who keep posting on this board, Boise State IS the duckies daddy no matter what YOU say, or your team does. Duckies can't hadlle the Broncos AT HOME OR ON THE ROAD. Suck up, and deal.
BCS and ONE
The "Duckies" are the least of BSU's worries. TCU, UC, and other ONE loss teams, including the "Duckies" will make BSU there B!!ch when it comes to the BCS. Oh, and you better hope that the Big Twelve, Pac-10, and SEC don't get two bids. You may think that BSU is the "Duckies" daddy, but the BCS IS BSU's daddy. BSU will have to lobby hard for that bid and really have no basis to stand on. Only ONE win over a top 25 or even a top 65 team. KH even had the "Duckies" #4 on ESPN last night. The last time I saw anything on BSU was when they were barely beating Tulsa, which lost yesterday.
"Suck up and deal," you better deal with it when BSU gets jumped again.
Really hope
You guys go to the BCS, play TCU and get beat by another Mid-major. Iowa in the Rose bowl would be too easy for the Ducks.
?????????????
Same pathetic crap. OVer and over and over... It is what it is. Oregon will probably jump ahead of BSU. Just the way it is. BSU beat them and hasn't managed to lose to anyone they shouldn't. Something alot of the "elite" schools can't seem to do. I would be able to buy into the whole sos thing easier, if the one loss schools wouldn't have lost to unranked teams they should have wupped. BSU schedule will get stronger. BSU program will get better. Oregon has been pathetic for a long time. They are having a good year and getting better. As said before, there is no comparison between the two programs in money, fan base and longevity. Give BSU some time. The big games will come.
