Holtz, May to call Boise State game; injuries have hurt Tulsa

The ESPN crew for Wednesday's game at Tulsa is Rece Davis, Lou Holtz and Mark May. That trio should engage in some interesting commentary because Holtz has largely supported the Broncos while May has often criticized them.
The same crew worked the Poinsettia Bowl last year.

Tulsa already has lost its left tackle and free safety to long-term injuries this season. Left tackle Tyler Holmes (broken leg) missed the Oklahoma game and free safety Charles Davis (knee) was injured early in that game.
Those injuries contributed to a 45-0 loss to the Sooners, the Hurricane’s only blemish.
“That game was a bad experience for us,” Tulsa coach Todd Graham said, “because we played our worst game and they played probably their best game and we were just decimated with critical injuries in that game. … I don’t know how much you learn out of something like that other than we don’t want to do it again.”
Boise State, meanwhile, expects to have cornerback Kyle Wilson and right guard Kevin Sapien back in the lineup against Tulsa. Both missed the UC Davis game.

Tulsa's offense will be one of the most difficult remaining tests for the Boise State defense. The Golden Hurricane operate a fast-paced, no-huddle offense that led the nation in total offense the past two years.
“I don’t think anyone in the country goes faster,” said sophomore quarterback G.J. Kinne, a transfer from Texas. “… It definitely wears on the defense.”
The Hurricane haven't changed their offense with the loss of coordinator Gus Malzahn, who has Auburn back in the Top 25 as the Tigers' coordinator. Graham handed over playcalling duties to Herb Hand, who was the co-offensive coordinator the past two years.

Can't wait
Should be a good game...
Our toughest game left
the no huddle, nascar tempo has me worried
mark may
Yes, the name is uncapitalized on purpose. Love getting under his skin. Gotta job to do in Wichita next week and Tulsa is only 3 hours away so my contacts are trying to get tickets. Don't forget the LaTech/Reno game tonight on ESPN, should be good.
GO BRONCOS
Well Mateo,
I do believe Nevada is in for a looooooong night!
Got it going right now!
Strike that thought.
Flatliners.
What a dork, mateo...
...your contacts for some black market corn cob pipes??? Does the job you have to do have anything to do with pinching loaves, like the Boise juco mules do every week???
Hey, control yourself. LaTech/Nevada is quite the exciting night!!
You wiggity wacks kill me.
BCS bowl, top ten ranking...what a joke.
RACK ME AGAIN OVER AND OVER WHILE THE BLUE PEE GROUP HAS NO ANSWER...TYPICAL
Really?
I think Moore does well with it. BSU has a great no huddle scheme!
I'm not worried about Tulsa's "fast-paced" offense
Oregon was supposed to have the fastest offense in the nation (3 plays every minute), and our defense domintated them. Then, our offense slowed the game down so much, that their offense couldn't hold any momentum they had anyway.
So, defense needs to go back to Week 1 and dominate again.
mark may was a big fan
of the Broncos four or five years ago. Don't know why he's changed. I'm also starting to get a little tired of Lou Holtz, but I do admit there aren't too many people out there with his knowledge. For some reason I'm not too worried about this game, but I'm starting to have concerns about Nevada, especially after watching them last night. Mateo, I hope you can make it to the game, should be fun....Sunny...
Mark May a fan?????
Yeah right, when pigs fly, or should I say donkeys.
Mark may is a football man and football men know the difference between quality football teams who play tough schedules and earn their way to any bowl they go to, and paper teams who prey on DII caliber schools, fatten up on inconsequential wins and then cry foul when they get snubbed time after time for a decent bowl.
Wise up turds. You don't make the grade. Just keep whining or should I say Hee Hawwing all the way to the Poinsetta Bowl.
What a joke, a BCS Bowl, a top ten ranking, LOL!!!
Rack me turds, you lose as per usual. Wise up and crown me the king of your world as I clearly am. You loaves can't even offer a halfway reasonable argument because it's over before it starts...you play nobody!!!
I'm here all season, better pinch yourselves because I'm real and live here every day because I love spreading the gospel according to BDUCK BABY!!!!!!!!
BDuck2009
It is pitiful that you don't have anything better to do than to vent your spleen on the Statesman's sportsblog. Oregon lost. Twice. Your whining and chest pounding do not change that fact. Shut up and go home.
I know what the 'B' means in bduck2009
Well I figured out what the 'B' stands for in BDUCK2009,
BUTT ! You lost your game to us, get over it. your comments are like a first graders, very juvenile to say the least. No one here cares to know what you think, and what you do think is not much of anything, you are just a little frustrated person, with not many friends or even a girlfriend if at that, just a gumply person with no life. Just go away.
B Duck is a Statesman employee?
This guy must be working for the Statesman! He's here to keep us coming back to argue with him, thus creating more hits on this site maybe? LOL I don't know! There is no way a semi-intelligent person would continue to churn out the garbage he does.
As for Mark May
oops I capitalized his name. lol!
That guy is BDuck in a suit I think! I could not believe the mock court trial they held on ESPN a few weeks ago, arguing TCU, Houston and BSU as Bowl Bound... Lou Holtz stood there and made one intelligent argument after another supporting BSU, while Mark May stood there and rolled his eyes and acted like a total toddler! When it was Marky Marks turn, he went off on BSU like they owed him money or something!! As I remember, he supported Houston whole heartedly.
How's that prediction working for you now, Mark?
GOOOO BRONCOS!!!
