Boise High graduate Kelsie Clegg earns tournament MVP award
Virginia Commonwealth University junior volleyball player Kelsie Clegg, a 2007 Boise High graduate, was honored as tournament MVP at last weekend's Third Degree Sportswear Invitational in Richmond, Va.

The 6-foot-5 middle blocker hit .408 and averaged 1.38 blocks per set in two VCU victories Saturday. Clegg had 16 kills, four blocks and hit .457 without recording an error against Wright State. Clegg, who averaged 1.24 blocks in four weekend matches, provided seven blocks against East Carolina.
In Friday's matches, Clegg averaged 2.22 kills per set, with 13 kills against Temple. She added seven blocks against St. John’s.
The Rams completed the weekend with a 4-0 record, their best start since 2000.
Last year, the university's sports information department posted a story about Clegg's journey from Boise to VCU.
