The hill beckons

As I live right on Bogus Basin Road, I can make a (limited) assessment of the kind of day it is. In the winter, traffic backed up: powder day. This morning, hundreds of bicycle riders going uphill: the 37th annual Bogus Basin Hill Climb.
A reportedly record number of racers — almost 400 — pitted themselves against hill and gravity for the 3,500-foot ascent from Highlands Elementary School to the Bogus Creek Lodge, 15 miles later.
I had to work today, so I contented myself with cheering my sweetie. But it’s not the same. Hundreds of riders whizzing by me as I take photos: Next year.

It's amazing how you can race that close and can't deal w/cars.
What is the difference? Don't say a 2-ton car. It's a school of fish.

foreignoregonian: couldn't agree more
Look at how they are using the entire road, and yet they tell us to "share the road". The double standard makes me sick. We need to seriously consider banning bicycles from public road use.
I was being a 1/2 heinie, dude...and you need a go-cart.
