Bars Under the Stars at the Old Pen

This rather creative fundraiser features live music, dinner and a taste of “squawky,” which is to say, inmate homebrew. The party is from 6:30-10 p.m., Friday, July 10 at the Old Pen.
The Rockin’ Hippies will provide the tunes, Highlands Hollow Brewhouse will cater, and each attendee — that’s you — will be assigned an historic inmate persona for the evening, and will dine on authentic prison dinnerware.
Themed tours based on historical ghosts, escapes and executions at the Old Pen will also be offered.
Tickets for Bars Under the Stars are $50, which includes entry, dinner and one squawky coupon. For an additional $10, attendees can participate in a guided flashlight tour of the facility.
