Kudos to NNU’s women’s soccer team
The team members spent two weeks of their spring season in an especially compelling way — traveling to Guatemala to work with missionaries there on a number of projects. That included helping build bleachers for a public soccer field in the city of Paradise located atop a landfill. After that, the team helped build the Shalom Baptist Church and School, which involved helping haul 38,000 pounds of gravel and concrete. The team also ran soccer camps, and played games, most notably with inmates at a women’s prison in Guatemala City.
Team coaches Jamie and Rachel Lindvall are already planning their return trip for the spring of 2010.
To learn how you can support the team, contact Jamie Lindvall at JLLindvall@NNU.Edu.
