State track and field (Day 3): Nampa Christian sweeps 2A team titles
Nampa Christian's girls won their fifth consecutive 2A team championship and the Trojan boys returned to the top of the podium Saturday at Bronco Stadium.
Liberty Charter picked up a three-point victory in the race for the 1A boys title. It is the 3-year-old Nampa school's first state title of any kind.
Several athletes also came away with dominant individual efforts:
• Payette's Dominic Bolin repeated as 800, 1,600 and 3,200 champion in 3A boys.
• Cole Valley's Mitch Simmonds repeated as 110 and 300 hurdles champion and added a title in the 100 in 2A boys.
• Nampa Christian's Chelsea Barr won the girls pole vault, 100 and 200 in the 2A girls.
• Idaho City's Donnie Hazzard won the 100, 200 and 400 in 1A boys.
