Boise Capitals U15 midfielder selected to U.S. Soccer National Team pool

The Boise Capitals midfielder Savannah Laursen was selected to join the U.S. Soccer U15 National Team pool, the club announced Monday.

The North Junior High ninth-grader will train and compete April 11-18 at Stanford University with an elite group of 24 athletes selected from throughout the U.S. The training camp will include competition against several top women's college programs like Santa Clara and Stanford.

Laursen, who plays midfield and forward roles, will be making her first appearance in a U.S. National Team uniform. The selection to a U.S. Soccer National Team pool represents the highest achievement for an athlete in the youth development structure of U.S. Soccer.

That's great! Why do they have a pool though?

Nevermind ;-)
