Otter on job recruiting: looking for the half-full glass

About a year ago, Idaho officials had some preliminary talks with high-tech firms looking to relocate.

They were "scared" by Idaho's low unemployment rate, Gov. Butch Otter said at an Idaho Press Club breakfast Friday. So, he said, Idaho is going back to these companies.

Suddenly, a lack of available workers seems like the least of our worries. In December 2007, Idaho's unemployment rate was 2.7 percent. Later Friday, the jobless rate hit 6.8 percent, a 21-year high.

"We're looking for some promise in all the bad news," Otter said.

Can't blame a guy for trying.

Otter is a perfect example of what is wrong with America.

We're $53 trillion in the red due to tax cuts in return for campaign contributions. Otter has his buddies running state offices, liquor, & who knows what all? Otter's buddy at the the Tax Commission says we can't bully corporations heavy into tax knowledge, evidently individuals can be bullied? Otter would then raise fuel taxes & vehicle registration to pay for roads these corporation benefit from to move their product. Enjoying his $4,500 while raising our taxes & giving tax cuts to corporations whioch contribute to politicians is a red flag, crime in my opinion.

They create jobs, we hear all about businesses creating jobs. Instead of giving our bailout $ to those responsible for this mess, give it to responsible homeowners with a proven record of living within their budget. Pay the mortgage of homeowners for a year at a time until we get back on track. The old monthly mortgage payment spent on the economy NOW, will create jobs! Works for contrinutors.

The truth, this $53 trillion lie we call democracy, representation accepting campaign finance which has US in this mess is killing US. It's time to do as we sugest GM does. We need to fix the problems, mismanagement that have US in this mess. The problems are our representatives, Otter is a major failure at the expense of the people. We the People are being heald hostage on city, county, state & federal levels while are so called representatives make out like a bandit along with contributors, many times over. It's the greatest scam teh world has ever seen!

Are we safe or happy?

It is obvious our representatives are failing & they are doing so at our expense, $53 trillion, through campaign finance. This has been happening for over a half century. It's time to face reality & alter the way we run America. Banking has been corrupt for over a half century. The scandals of the eighties & now this mess are concrete evidence. We need to investigate, prosecute, & jail those responsible, instead of reward them.

You can't fix the problems created by government, our representatives, by allowing them to continue on the same course. They're adding trillions to an already unrealistic $ amount. Not only will generations to come pay, we are now. How many people have lost, lives, jobs, houses, retirment in the market, & more?

It's a shell game at best for McCain & republicans to suggest we're doing this to generations to come when we've been doing this for generations, US. Crapo & the rest of Idaho's represnetatives need to be investigated as well. Who contributed to their campaigns, who received tax cuts, where were & are Idaho's represnetatives investing their money? There a a lot of questions that need answers!

To suggest we continue on this course is rediculous & destructive as the declaration suggests. Are we safe or happy?

Tax cuts in return for campaign contributions is the reason we're in this mess. We're borrowing billions to build an infrastructure $2 trillion in need of upgrades because our representatives gave tax cuts to contributors who enjoyed the safety, benefits of America protected by the same taxpayers who sacricie their lives in war, lose jobs, homes & pay all the taxes evaded through campaign finance. Otter wants to raise the taxes of the people who die for their country & give tax cuts to the corproation that contribute to the representatives responsible for $53 trillion we owe?

We need to get our representatives back to work for US taxpayers, not contributors. The Contitution says We the People, is America about US or isn't it?

We had the American Revolution, Declaration, Constitution, & a lot of Americans died so we could be free, to uphold these beliefs. Are we going to disrespect these people who sacrificed so much so our representatives & their partners in crime can continue to burn US in the greatest scam the world has ever seen?

Otter driving up helath insurance costs playing cowboy on Viagra while living in his own house costing Idaho taxpayers $4,500 a month. Does that tell you anything?

I believe there is only one Gov. Otter and he ain't Blago...(sp)
