Our entire federal delegation is fiscally conservative which will mean no effort on their part to utilize macroeconomics to pull us out, holding hard and fast to the policies that brought us to the brink of ruin. And now these bozos are going to take a pass on any money that does come our way digging Idaho's hole deeper and doing nothing to assist the country in fixing they economy. Why do they hate America? Why do they hate Idaho?

I am deeply discouraged with the fact that because the National Republicans have resolved to "Show Their Power" by launching every attack that they possibly can upon Obama and the stimulus, they have become unwilling to work together for fear of breaking up the herd. It is ludacris for the minority to be so demanding and unwilling to look at the real arguments and economics that are at stake to the detriment of hardworking Americans. When you start a business, you invest money in it...Please invest in America, Please invest in Idaho...most of the money is going to stay in private hands. Diggin in your heels is not impressing me or my hungry jobless neighbors.

our city, county, state, & federal government locks US into with every stimulus. The $300 billion farm bill is a perpetual stimulus. Why pay the debt without the benefits of return, may as well use the $ just like everybody else.

I kicked Minnick & the rest of our representatives for voting against the stimulus while suggesting they'll be there if it's available. They want to play safe in the eyes of the voters while acting like they're doing the job we pay them for. Anybody could be a so called representative in the control party two step. We should eliminate both parties & take all the money from campaign contributions. They're on our payroll & the $ contributed should be ours, going to the corresponding branch of government contributed to, not the employee. City to city, county to county, state to state, & no more crook to crook.

How did Idaho's leaders vote when before the Obama stimulus, on the Bush stimulus, & the war? We spent billions on those great plans. Did Bush's $600 billion war save US from terrorist attack by Saddam? Kempthorne barrcaded the capitol when Lucky Peak would have been the better target, doing far more damage. Well at least Kempthorne ended up with a nice bathroom remodel so he'd had a place to oh crap, if terrorist attacked.

Did $150 billion, $600 to individuals & $1,200 to couples do any good? Was it spent on bills or the economy? The crooks who took the first $350 Billion gave themselves bonuses & were then rewarded with billions more. That was a good plan?

Today's paper has US $79 billion short of assets from $300 billion given to the crooks we bailed out recently. The crooks keep gouging US for more, our representatives keep giving, & the economic experts our representatives no doubt pay as consultants through campaign finance, either don't have a clue, or are making bank at our expense as well. I'd say making bank! Does something smell about this?

Our representatives of millionaire status makes it clear they don't know what $ is worth to US taxpayers, how we live on our budget. They have so much $ they can't relate, obvioulsy can't represent US! How do you represent someone when you don't live in the same tax bracket, economic situation? Otter can afford more gas taxes, he still has a job & a housing allowance. How would he know if I could afford more taxes & still support the economy?

The Statesman has printed several articles about this mess. $64 million in campaign finance from those receiving bailout. The AGI series made it clear to me, SEC Chair Levitt, FED chair Greenspan, Treasury Secretary Rubin together shut down Brooksley Born, head of the Commodities Furtures Trading Commssion who tried to promote public debate as to whether derivatives such as AIG was into were a threat to the world economy. Born testified 17 times before Congress. Where were Idaho's political leaders then or the last eight years? On the payroll but not getting the job done, unless this financial crisis was planned.

AIG must have had a really cool monopoly game they used as a computer simulation suggesting their creidt swaps/derivatives had no way of failing. How do you sell $300K to $500K houses to people, earning $40K to $60K a year, with six kids, & find it fail proof, buy up all these credit swaps thinking these people will not foreclose? The same banks right in the middle of the countries economy? I would have thought they'd have the pulse of the economy more so than anybody else? Wouldn't they be the first to know if the economy would slow or tank, at least have the safegaurds in place to prevent complete failure as they did? Isn't that what the SEC, FED, & Treasury are there for?

Are the SEC, FED, Treasury so out of touch with what is going on they failed or are they so corrupt they lost sight of the ball.

Crooks don't seem to be missing a beat with the money our representatives are handing out, count it very well. They manage to sell US $79 billion short of assets & they got bonuses. Funny how that works.

Back to Idaho's leaders?

Why kick a plan as bad & then take the money? Better question, why not come up with a better plan? I notice Minnick has his plan out there. I didn't think much of it but I may be of the mind he's not quilfied, he's just a republican in a demcrats skin so he can't be trusted in the first place. Idaho hasn't had any scandals in the last few years suggesting our leaders can't be trusted or believed????

It's time for the people of Idaho to speak up, not just listen to misrepresnetatives who take money from corporate un-America, agri corruption, & all these crooks scamming US for billions today. Everybody will complain a year from now, no matter if the stimulus works or doesn't, Idaho taxpayers will pay federal taxes forever, if we take or don't take $ from this stimulus.

I have a plan, write off the mortgages of homeowners who have mortages under $300K. That should really hit the fan & platter all over. I can hear it already, that'll break the banks even faster. Add some feel goods like no bankruptcy on record, & have to have owned for at least five years.

Yea it might send the banks into the hole they have US. So what, what's another trillion here or there? Let's get the deabeats & crooks out of the game, it might be the quickest way to get the economy going. New blood with oversight, no corruption. Death penalty for those who would rip US off.

Why give the failures more $ while paying still paying old mortgage? Reverse mortgage, our reward for being the bank. It's why banks are in business right, to make $? We seem to have become bank, insurance, mortgage companies whether we wanted to our not so I would like a bankers salary/benefits. Call it a bonus.

Before everybody runs to change your depends you might want to expand on the idea first, keep them on a while.

With spring coming up, nothing but doom & gloom on the horizon, I don't hear plans by our representatives except to continue handing the crooks more money? No shovel ready projects, no mass transit, nothing but studies. Our representatives studied, spent a lot on studies, but failed again. Where's Luna & Bush with the no child left behind crap?

Isn't it time to turn it around so as the bankers we're making some of the money, not just $600 or $1,200 Bush tossed out as bait to buy time to get out of office? Said we weren't in a reccession & when were finally in one we have been for a year? Let's get that full financial discloure by all our represnetatives & their families going ASAP too.

Seriously, doesn't have to be all the payments or all at once. Cut mortgages payments to every other month paying six months of the year with six months of house payments freed up to spend on the economy. Adjust interest so a guy isn't paying just interest, pay down the house, month on, month off. A fifteen year mortgage might take longer to pay but don't burn the homeowner with added interest, cut it in return for stimulus generousity through our representation. Use some $ in the stimulus for other things instead of tax cuts, job creation.

By the way, representatives aren't included, they live in million $ mansions anyway, but they can't play.

If someone had a $1,000 house payment, it frees up $6000 a year to spend on the economy. Might only have to do it a year or two until the economy picks up & it'll create jobs.

Ideas, get them out. Don't listen to our representatives & their appointees, they have US trillions in the red. What do they know? Seriously, experts? Bush was the biggest goof we could have ever found, his people have been screwing up for eight years, from surplus to deression. Obama can't find someone to appoint who has actually paid taxes, they're all evading taxes?

There's $965 charged to every adult in America through credit card companies & others in hidden charges. Get after it.

Take campaign finance given to our employees, they're on our payroll.

Eliminate representatives provided health care & retirment. We're losing more of ours everyday through illegal immigration & free trade our represnetatives promoted along with selling US out in job loss jobs. Shut of all the $ given to past representatives in retirment & health care provided through taxes, they're rich, they don't need it. Aren't they patriotic? 18 year kids are sacrificing their lives, come on.

Eliminate paid holidays to city, county, state, & federal workers the private industry doesn't pay, the rest of US don't get but pay for.

Fix the postal service, deliver on time, stop late payments. Some mail is never being delivered & carriers are wasting time & $ delivering credit card applications. Credit cards are killing US & they contribute to our representatives along with payday loan companies that prey on consumers/taxpayers.

If I can put all these ideas out there I can't help but wonder how many ideas we're missing. There are 300,000,000 Americans & I'm sure they have better ideas than handing over trillions of $ to the crooks who broke US.

Similar to there being few atheists in a falling airplane, there are few conservatives when the cash grab is on. Hopefully we won't be hearing "holding my nose" talk while taking the stimulus money for all Idaho citizens. Imagine better transportation, medical care, education, and energy programs. It's disgusting.
