Clady finishes third in AP NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year voting

Former Boise State offensive lineman Ryan Clady finished third in AP NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year voting announced Tuesday. Clady, who started at left tackle for the Denver Broncos all season, received two votes.

Atlanta Falcons quarterback Matt Ryan — who defeated Boise State in the 2005 MPC Computers Bowl when he was at Boston College — was the runaway winner. Ryan collected 44 votes.

Tennessee Titans running back Chris Johnson, who ran past Boise State in the 2007 Hawaii Bowl for East Carolina, finished second in the voting with three votes.

Chicago Bears running back Matt Forte collected one vote.

The award is voted on by 50 sportswriters and broadcasters who cover the NFL.

Too bad

Too bad his coach had to go get himself fired today. BTW, I heard Coach Pete interviewed for that job. ;-) ;-) ;-)

Speaking of the Denver Broncos...

Do you suppose Denver approached Bill Cowher to replace Shannahan? If you are going to boot Shannahan you can't hire some poor schmuck who lost his job for loosing too much - not if you are the Denver Broncos. Leave hiring the looser coaches to the Detroits and the Oaklands and Cleveland Browns. No sir, Denver will be looking for a coach who quit on top like Cowher and pay him $5 mil a year. Oh, and by the way, outstanding job Ryan!!! The big guys in the trenches never get the glory. It always goes to the puny guys who run fast and catch that flying thing.

Congrats

Clady had a very impressive year. We will have to see what new coaching staff and offensive system they get in Denver. If they venture away from the zone blocking scheme he could struggle. The sky is the limit for this kid if they stay with a similar system as the current one.

Clady

And to think all these other colleges past him up. Just like what they did with Kellen Moore. These guys will make them pay for their mistakes..

Clady

What a stud. We sure could've used him for one more year. NFL $$$ is to strong of a pull.

He is a great one, what a

He is a great one, what a year, everybody in the NFL knows him now.
