After being non-committal about a change during the WAC teleconference this morning, Louisiana Tech coach Derek Dooley announced this afternoon that Ross Jenkins will start Saturday against Idaho.
Senior Taylor Bennett started the first five games of the season, including the Bulldogs' 35-3 loss at Boise State. Bennett has completed 61-of-156 passes for 844 yards this season with two touchdowns and five interceptions.
On the WAC teleconference, Dooley said: "There may be some personnel moves in several areas. At this point, we're not ready to announce anything. We're certainly considering all the options."
• Idaho injury news
Safety Shiloh Keo (shoulder) and middle linebacker Tre'Shawn Robinson (knee) will miss the rest of the season. Keo, who got hurt against Utah State, is expected to have surgery later this week, coach Robb Akey said. Akey said Keo can apply for a medical redshirt.
Robinson injured his knee against Fresno State.

It will get to the point at Idaho
that these kids will be hurt more and more. with NO depth everytime one goes out others are at risk. The coach's pollyanna attitide doesn't help, it hurts.
Players play
I disagree. These young men are all in prime football playing shape and whenever a player takes the field there is a risk of injury or not. Doesn't matter if they are freshman or seniors, 1st string or 3rd, they are there to play football and are eagerly awaiting their turn.
Just because Idaho is a craptastic team does not mean that the players have a higher incident of injury. I understand you think that Keo might have been playing more minutes then he would have if there was a reliable backup, but that's the chances that are taken.
Many of the players on the Idaho team are there because they will get the opportunity to play with a lack of talent there, and will get to play many minutes.
No matter the team, no matter my affiliation, I would never hope that a player gets hurt playing ball.
