Where's Boise's comedy club?
Submitted by Michael Deeds on Thu, 09/04/2008 - 6:28pm.
Remember this column back in May?
"For months, a new chuckle hut called Crack-N Me Up supposedly has been just over the horizon.
So far, it's been vaporware."
No change in that department. This project is still supposedly in the works, but the first day of fall is Sept. 22. It was supposed to be open by summer.
The Funny Bone closed at the end of 2007. As we approach the nine-month mark, have we given birth to a city that really doesn't care anymore whether it has a dedicated comedy club? I truly hope not.
P.S. I believe there's still comedy happening in West Ada at the Bull's Head in Meridian, but they never submit listings (believe me, I asked them to) ... so, sadly, they get no press. Maybe they're selling out every night and don't need any.

Ironically, that means they aren't being funny but acting so.
Oh...it's on HBO.
