Boise State will play 13 football games and seven at home in 2009 — including a game against coach Chris Petersen’s alma mater, UC Davis of the Football Championship Subdivision.
Boise State released a tentative schedule for its five nonconference games Friday.
The slate includes a game at Tulsa, a former WAC school. Tulsa is scheduled to come to Boise in 2011. The schools were both in the WAC from 2001 to 2004. Tulsa has become a contender in Conference USA.
The five non-conference games are: Sept. 5 vs. Oregon, Sept. 12 at Toledo, Sept. 19 vs. UC Davis, Sept. 26 vs. Miami (Ohio) and Oct. 3 at Tulsa.
Combined with the WAC schedule, the Broncos will make trips to Oklahoma, Ohio, Louisiana and Hawaii in 2009.
The Broncos also will play 13 regular-season games for the first time since 2003.
Boise State is 3-0 against UC Davis and has not played the Aggies since 1985, when Petersen was the Aggies’ quarterback. BSU won 13-9.

Walk-on kicker Brock Jaramillo has rejoined the Broncos. He missed the first week and a half of fall camp while clearing up an eligibility issue.
Jaramillo, a senior, backed up starter Kyle Brotzman last season.

The Broncos continued to struggle with false starts during Friday’s morning practice. They will be on the blue turf Friday afternoon, the final workout before the scrimmage at 6 p.m. Saturday at Bronco Stadium.
Like Monday, Petersen said he will have his eye on individuals more than the units in the scrimmage.
“We’re just looking for individual improvement,” he said.

It looks like JC transfer Brent Rausch will win the starting quarterback job at Hawaii. Read more here.

Football Champioonship SUBDIVISION????
they play a housing development?
PJs?
Subdivision
Another crappy bunch of home games, except Oregon. Maybe the ticket prices will fall like the house prices in subdivisions,Naw, Gene B. thinks everyone lives in Eagle and can afford it.
Crappy? Oregon is pretty
Crappy? Oregon is pretty decent and will be a HUGE home game for the Broncos. They can't do anything about the WAC schedule... in case you didn't know, the schedule rotates each year.
I think ~$300 is pretty decent price to pay for 7 home games... doesn't seem unreasonable to me at all.
I bought Led Zeppelin on LASERDISC and saved 1000's SO?
I also saw it on Night Flight years ago on USA for the once-low price of cable TV...
What I never realized at the time was that Stuart Shapiro, the creator and his buds probably just went and bought the laserdisc set and more or lest played the sides as is with a few more breaks...way before copyright crankiness. I cannot see why MCA ever let him use all that Warners footage (Alice Cooper too) and whatever else with impugnity...those were great daze..,
Speaking of DAZE! Did you ever see the edited Ron and Nancy Reagan tape against drugs that a guy edited into a Very realistic and convincing tale how Nancy and Ron loved drugs and couldn't recommend them enough and gave them to everyone in Washington they could? ;-0
The AD did it again.
A division II, two MAC`s, a Conference USA, and the toughest game AT HOME with Oregon. The AD has done it again. This schedule should be around 119 in strength. However it should set up another run for the fifth bowl slot, unless after last years performance by Hawaii the votes come a little harder.
Back on track
Sounds like BSU is right on track to make a run for a BCS bowl. It will take three of four perfect seasons to get any consideration for a big bowl but hey, you guys are a patient bunch!
PAC10 Ben
I'll have what he's having.
HEE HEEEE!
Great Job !!!!
Nice post...Thanks,
