Drink a draught with Mike Hale, of Hale’s Ales, at the Front Door tonight

Want to drink some excellent pacific northwest beer and meet one of the founding fathers of the craft beer movement?

Get to the Front Door ( 105 S. 6th Street in Downtown Boise) at 6 p.m. and help Mike Hale, of Hale’s Ales celebrate the brewery’s 25th anniversary.

The Front Door is having a brewers night with Hale tonight, and this is your chance to thank him for a quarter century of producing excellent craft beers from his Seattle-based brewery.

The Front Door is also doing their “First Thursday beer and cheese pairing” tonight because the tap house will be closed between 6:45 and 9 p.m. tomorrow night for private party. They will still offer the cheeses later Thursday night, but why not go tonight and celebrate Hale’s Ales?

The folks at the Front Door told me they will have cheese from the Boise Co-Op paired with Hale’s Kolsch, cask-conditioned Mongoose IPA, Red Menace Big Amber, and Cream Stout. The will also pair Hale’s special 25th Anniversary Belgian Style Dubbel with chocolate from the Chocolate Bar.

You can also get a draught of the recently released and very delicious Hale’s Aftermath Imperial IPA.

There will also some draft specials and a beer and kolsch combo special as well, although I don’t know the prices for those yet. Anyway, it sounds like fun. Stop by if you can.
