Steve Earle to play in Eagle this summer
Submitted by Michael Deeds on Sun, 05/04/2008 - 2:17pm.
In a show that will excite the heck out of alt-country fans, singer, songwriter and political activist Steve Earle has been booked July 11 at the Winery at Eagle Knoll. Earle's wife, Allison Moorer, will open the concert. Ticket details haven't been worked out yet, but they'll go on sale later this month.
July 11 is the same evening as the Boston concert at the Idaho Center Amphitheater. Think there will be any fan crossover? (Um, no.)
To my knowledge, this is the first time Earle has gigged in the Boise area. (If he did, it had to be back in the '80s.) Here's a nice clip of Earle from 1991 where he provides some insight into his music, then plays "Copperhead Road."

Yes, he has, and I do think it was during Copperhead Road era.
I'm excited!
and actually, yes, I do listen both to Boston and Steve Earle; I just am not going to Boston because the original vocalist has died.
Does the Winery let kids attend?
YES ! It's about time !
I have seen Steve many times in Seattle and as all of his fans know he is the real deal. Thanks for the early info can't wait to see one of my all time faves.
Aaaaaargh
I've been waiting for this forever - and I'll be in Portland that night en route to our family vacation on the coast. Drats and double drats.
I Can't Decide Who I'm More Excited To See!
Talk about a bounus! Steve and Allison on a double bill? Now, that's a concert!
The only thing that would make it better is if they brought Stacey and Justin along too!
