The Divas are going to the Prom!
Submitted by Nonprofit blogger on Thu, 04/03/2008 - 11:49am.
After several years hiatus (we won’t discuss how many!) the Divas are donning their best dresses and heading to the Prom.
The Prom is Saturday, April 5, at The Big Easy. All proceeds benefit Faith in Action, an interfaith program that provides nurturing, informal care giving services to seniors as well as respite and companionship for families coping with Alzheimer’s and other forms of memory loss.
Now back to the Prom ... There was no hesitation this time around when the Divas were asked to go to the Prom. After all, what’s not to like? Lose the parents, the corsages, and the awkwardness of that age. Add in a full bar, dancing to the Kings of Swings, and a fabulous silent auction. We say that everyone should all get to experience Prom again, and this time do it right and do it for a good cause!
Tickets are $50 or $375 for a table of six. It is 21 and older only, and ID is required. Check out www.theprom.org for more information including some fabulous deals at participating restaurants and stores.
See you at the dance!
And don’t miss these fun events in the upcoming week:

Which mode will it be?
Chiffon, taffeta or poly?
Hair up, down, ponytailed or how you actually looked between 1978-1985?
Traditional, single shoulder or disco dress?
Gold, faux stone or minimal jewlelry?
Connie Francis, Tanya Tucker or Duran Duran "Rio" makeup?
So many choices and the same old jacket and slacks for him : )
Don't be late or "fashionably"?
Convertible, limo or really clean up your daily ride?
Eat out or make a light fancy dinner beforehand?
You only live once, but if you prom twice, live nice.
I hope it was fun.
