Harsin: No quarterback 'making a huge jump'

Boise State offensive coordinator Bryan Harsin said Monday that none of the Broncos’ four quarterbacks have taken control of the race for the starting job yet.
He plans to give all of them time with the first-team offense this week in practice and reward the guys who play the best with more playing time in Friday’s scrimmage at Mountain View High in Meridian (3:30 p.m.).
Freshman Kellen Moore and senior Bush Hamdan did impress Harsin with their play in the first scrimmage. He also liked the presence of sophomore Mike Coughlin, who is a threat in the option run game and was on the field for some long run plays.
“Nobody is overall making a huge jump at this point,” Harsin said. “They’re doing what we ask them to do.”
The Broncos returned to practice Monday after a week off for spring break. They were in good spirits for a day in shoulder pads. They have just six spring practices left, including two scrimmages — Friday and April 11.
We’ll have more on the quarterback race in Wednesday’s edition of the Idaho Statesman.

One of the hot quarterback recruits for the class of 2009 visited Boise State on Monday. Josh Nunes, the 6-foot-4 quarterback from Upland High in Southern California, checked out the Broncos’ spring practice.
Nunes also plans to visit Oregon, Oregon State and Utah, according to the Los Angeles Times, and has been getting scholarship offers from all over the West.
Here’s a story on him from ESPN.com.

Too bad.
I won't be incensing the Jackson's employees to read it for free. 2009 is no good in 2008. If the news of channel seven branches out from real/phony assualts, murders, rapes and minor Detroit golden oldies somebody will try to blow Earth up by then and his name won't be Marvin.
You must be hard up for stuff if you have to float a NEWSPAPER.
