Test your beer knowledge

You'd think that someone who writes a craft beer column and a blog on the same subject would be able to ace an AOL-sponsored "how well do you know your beer?" type of quiz.

That's what I thought until I took the quiz this morning and got only 10 answers right out of 15.

Suddenly, old memories of anxiety-filled Iowa Basic multiple choice tests from grade school are flashing through my brain. Somebody needs to post an online Buffy The Vampire Slayer or Cleveland Indians quiz so I can get a perfect score.

Quizzes like this are funny — the questions are so arbitrary. I missed some I should have got and guessed on some and got them right.

I guess I can add the word Cenosillicaphobia to my vocabulary and dazzle my beer drinking friends.

This quiz is more about marketing stats and marketing history (fizzy yellow p*** water in particular) than it is a quiz about beer. And even then, I'd argue with some of their answers. So yes, "AOL is freaky lame."

Oh yeah, 12 out of 15 for me.

But then again, some of those questions were pretty ridiculous. Ugh.
