Mossy Oak tux

I was dreading it. I had to rent a tux for a banquet. Ugh.
To my surprise I found a camo tux. Yup. Actually, it is a black tux with tails but the vest and bow tie are camo - mossy oak to be specific. Really cool.
I won't mind showing up to the banquet with camo that matches the brown in my cowboy boots.
I did learn something that's cool about Idaho. The store where I rented the tux has about four camo weddings a year. Yup, four weddings where the guys wear mossy oak.
Only in Idaho.

dont tell my husband!

We've talked about renewing our vows on our first anniversary, even said a "theme" wedding. He suggested hunting theme and I laughed till I cried as we joked of all the things we could do with that one (dont forget the calls being used in place of bridal march). Now this...mosey oak tux. Darn! He hears this I really will be having a "shotgun wedding". Yep...only in Idaho!!!

You don't renew at Year One...

when you are young and goofy and have no real idea about 10 years from now. do yourself the biggest favor and concertrate on building a stronger relationship, not by saying OOOH, look, we had a year, but getting the business of being a married couple moving because you have seceral more anniversaries to be there for.

Renewal should be sometime after 10-25 years, when you have been together so long you don't know what you would do without them beside you. When they are a fixture you wouldn't lose, then you renew.

Marriages that break tend to do so before year ten. This is like paper training your pet. Don't make an idle ceremony if you already know the meaning and answer.

No camo now. At 30 years he will want a fancy but inexpensive ceremony and family get together and your kids will have all the say.

Mine are nearing 42 and they remarried at 30 then I orchestrated the 40th anniversary. I'm hoping to still be here to see him get to 50 like his father and we will rent a small hall for both sides of the family when that occurs.

Here's the place

You can get the mossy oak tux at Tuxedo Warehouse on 6505 Ustick Road.
375-9616.
Remember, it's a black jacket and pants but a mossy oak vest and bow tie.

Zimo

Well Boisebelle you got the advice of a lifetime.

Not this post, the other one telling you when to renew. Have him plan the big event & he'll no doubt rent a bike made for two so you & your husband can ride around nowhereville with him. Maybe even stop by his rental, watch a movie on the $50 big screen & build something on his new chemistry set.

Take that from...

the crasher who would spike the punch. If I haven't had 8 years of stuff like his idea of a joke from Usenet newsgroups, I'd still say that's currently the only thing he can manage to say.

Whatever you do, ditch the camo. You don't even need fancy dress to affirm or reaffirm.

You seem to need it to see the divorce judge though. Don't go there.

Oh, yeah, he WAS right in his opening title and first line.

Did the dog bear the rings?

Or was he the best "friend"?

Zimo, he ain't my dog...

and I can't find his tags. I wouldn't let him near a chicken coop.
