Right below the events calendar at IdahoStatesman.com (and right above the latest blog posts), you'll see our area for Multimedia. I fear that we haven't made it as easy as we'd hoped for you to find options other than photo galleries.
Right next to the icon for the camera are other icons. Click on the camera and you see our 3 most recent staff videos. Click on "all videos" and you go to our video page (videos.idahostatesman.com). You'll see all of our videos for the past year. We've put them in categories such as outdoors, sports, entertainment and news.
Not only that, but we welcome your videos. There is a link on the bottom of the video page where you can submit your own video. There are plenty of options - from sports to pets to entertainment. Your video doesn't fit one of our categories? Send me an email and we might be able to add a new category.
Click on the icon next to the video camera and you'll see our three most recent slideshows. There's a link to bring you to a page with all of the slideshows.
And finally, click on the last icon and you'll find links to listen to local radio stations while you browse IdahoStatesman.com

I guess NOT...
I had no clue if icons in the list of post meant something other than the status of the topic (cool-hot and closed) that I'm accustomed to.
Could you possibly attach that icon to the blog item's title with the intent of opening the story with pictures attached?
We are used to having a video/You Tube window and that works well but those of us who cannot UL video yet would like to be able to send JPEG, non-animated GIF, and maybe one or two other formats, maybe pending moderation of course. This is too broad a forum to randomly upload and face editing garbage and junk.
Still haven't seen one...
unless somebody mentions it and I haven't looked at any of those yet.
Is it in the dropdown menu on the front page? I'll have to look.
OH! There's your answer! It gets in your way and maybe people think it's annoying or spam or something because it does it way too easily, so they probably ignore it.
Yahoo! has probably ruined this feature with animation assaulting you when you go to their pages.
I found it though.
