The Boise State football team’s trick play trifecta in the Fiesta Bowl is part of a larger national trend, ESPN.com’s Pat Forde writes.
Gambling is in across college football. Conservatism is out.
The story quotes Broncos coach Chris Petersen.
“We may have run five or six (trick plays) during the course of last year," Petersen said. "Guys think now we're all about trick plays. We're a standard, hard-nosed football team and 1 percent of the offense is trick plays.
"But we will call them. If we practice them during the week, they're going to get called. When we practice them the players are not thinking, 'He'll never call that.' Because we will."

Are you serious?
How do you consider yourself a legitimate sports writer when all you've done is inform people that ESPN has an article about BSU? You'd be better off posting on a bronco forum, than trying to pass this off as sports writing. Anyone can pull quotes from a PROFESSIONAL sports writer and inform others about it. I don't understand how you've made a job out of it. Please email me back to explain why you feel reporting what PROFESSIONAL sports writers say should show up in your blogs and opinion columns. Because they should be filled with your thoughts and observations, not what someone else wrote for ESPN. By the way have you ever played football or any sport at a higher level than grade school?
To BroncoFan, Are YOU serious?
First of all, I do not see you writing anything anywhere that is getting put in a newspaper or anything else. Secondly, he writes articles that are just fine and he was simply INFORMING people who nmay not have known about an article that was written so they could read it as well. Also, his prior sports experience has absolutely NO bearing on his writing whatsoever. So in closing BroncoFan, I suggest you find something that is actually worthy on complaining about instead of complaining about something out of your sheer boredom. Chad Crippe is doing just fine and until you prove you can do better, then just shut it.
